How's this for an epic dish from one of our recent Saturday Mushie Market customers at ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ„๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿป

Itโ€™s a mushroom broth ramen bowl garnished with fried onion and tempura seaweed crisps; in the bowl thereโ€™s sliced pak choy(itโ€™s also the centre rose) garlic scapes, spring onion, carrot & our king oyster mushies as the star front and centre.

That's gonna be hard to beat! Sheesh.

Every Saturday

She was a bit quiet yesterday, but the vibes were high and the coffee was elite. We did get to meet a few more locals so that was really cool. Sold some fresh focaccia, some of Gussy's tomatoes, some mushies and even some of my pickles.

We will be back next week ๐Ÿค๐Ÿผ It would be great to see some more people there, promise we will look after ya.

Absolute Stunner King Oysters ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ„
Grown using low-tech sustainable methods, lime pasteurised pea straw in our re-usable mushie jars. No single use plastic. These are a cold temperature loving variety, around 20 is fine - but they love the 15 to 19 range. Low temp, slow growth, dense quality fruits. Store beautifully for weeks - not that anyone keeps them that long!

I have just brought them back into the rotation now that the worst of the heat has passed. These are one of the best mushies we grow in my opinion. I call them the Poor Mans Porcini.... a great option for those that want to treat themselves, but dont want to pay the extortionate prices charged for Porcini during forage season.

Would be nice if they were all whoppers like this! Just guessing but I would say this would have to be my record for a Phoenix Oyster cluster. A solid 1.2kgs ๐Ÿฅณ

These are now my favourite oyster to grow, solely because they havent failed on me for no apparent reason in the recent past. Thats how it works. Now that I have cursed myself, I will go back to hating them after the next crop fails ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

They are a pretty sturdy oyster, love the warm weather (mid to high 20s) which is why I have been growing them over the warmer months to minimise the cost and strain on cooling. I reckon they really hit their straps in slightly cooler temps though, 19 to 22 and they develop dense dark fruit with some added texture. You sacrifice a bit on the yield and the crop cycle lengthens by a few days - but the quality does go up a notch. They also hold up a bit better in storage that way too.

With all that in mind, very solid choice for a home grow kit. If any one wants to order a grow kit just hit me in the DMs now and I will hook you up. Guaranteed to work. Simple instructions. Cant go wrong.

A post of congratulations for the homies and (& crew) โค๏ธ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿซก

Two local ADL musicians and great family men that I have been lucky enough to meet and work with since starting this mushie caper. Both super talented, hard working, reliable & community minded. They have both helped me lots when I was doing my Collision Courses shows with multiple performances and heaps of advice. Very happy to call them friends. Super accomplished artists, and they recently put out one of the best vinyls I've seen come out of Adelaide in years "The Passion". Absolute stomper, check it out.

I got to see them live out one of their dreams the other week at the .portadelaide Birthday Party Festival where they warmed the stage & the crowd for one of the absolute Hiphop GOATS ๐Ÿคฏ Total scenes, massive for them. Hustle and commitment to the craft got them that spot. Respect it greatly.

Such a brilliant set, a real turning point in the crowd too, you could feel everyone getting sucked in by the energy. Got to experience most of the set parked next to Bloomys parents & Sharn and it was just so special, actually got some tears towards the end of the set, you could feel the love (having Gussy has turned me soft๐Ÿคฃ).

and were both absolutely huge during the set too, smoked it. The brother dominated on Bass.... on the vocals, it was just so cool to see a group of friends all pulling it together and vibing like crazy.

Congrats my friends ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Proud and happy for you.

And I guess the message to everyone else out there is, you really really gotta try your best to support local artists. Some outrageously talented folk in our city that the mainstream or the algo will never ever feed you. Sad but true. Ya gotta find em.

That's another Saturday Mushie Market in the books at ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ„ Much love to those that came through for a cuppa and made some purchases! Means the world, and I love seeing the smiling faces and getting great feed backโค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿผ It's been a slow start but today was very encouraging, a great step in the right direction with easily the most visitors so far. We will be back again next Saturday from 8am! Lets keep in moving and build a great little community together. Love ya work๐Ÿ˜Ž

Well it's only taken 5 years, but I have finally got someone to put my Lions Mane on a pizza! Chef Jamie from Rocc Up don't play around, always pushing boundaries while nailing the key elements with precision. By all reports this pizza is OFF. ITS. ROCKER!!!

So sad for all the non-believers๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ but BIG VIBES for all my mushie pizza loving crew out there๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ we are on one here! Get along and sus it it out, send me your pics, post about it, give me your thoughts. I know you will froth it.

First legit mushie farm gate market at is in the books! I am super happy overall and very grateful to have a few key people on my side this past week while I got it all pointed in the right direction. Would be lying if I said there weren't tears and times where it all felt too hard. But we got there..... with a village โค๏ธ๐Ÿ„

Big ups our superstar barista who went above and beyond over the last week or so doing allllll the s**t I didnt even know we needed to do. List master, order master, doing the things. And makes a MEAN cuppa.

Shout out to our mate and the folks from who were very generous with their time and advice. Also to the brother Ash who put a lot of effort to lifting the aesthetic of the shed with the fresh paint and assorted trappings. Much appreciated.

Lots of thanks also to my parents who helped lots with odd jobs around the shed and were patient with me while I was stressing out and flappin around. Love yas.

Thanks to all the punters that came thru today, was wonderful to see some new faces from the hood and to also see some old faces who have been attending events over the past coupla years. We are ripe to create a special little community in the shed I reckon. So many happy people and smiling faces. Its definitely convinced me to keep pushing it.
