We chose not rest here on our farm. All of us never rest. We probably need a rest. But nothing is achieved or gained my sitting still.
Lots of exciting things are happening! After the lovely rain we all received, along with warmer days. The boys oats are up and jumping out of the ground! And those seedling that were planted going into winter are also making the most of no frosts and warm days. One small, light frost only. Nothing to mention really.
Heavy, foggy mornings, from the ground still being so warm filled with moisture spread.
And I may of gotten a little out of control at one end of the shed for a new work space which will be ready for a busy spring! It’s going to be busy! Good shoes will be needed!!

The season has drawn to an end. I feel we have had an extended season which was really quite nice.
I always anticipate those early frosts. Yet to date we have not seen one as yet.
Yesterday seen our last cut for the season in the cut garden, just in time for when the rain arrived!
The boys have worked endlessly at the other end of things getting winter crops in pastures for our cattle & hay, which is super exciting right before much needed rain fell.
Please accept this post as a massive thank you to each and everyone who supported & believed in me throughout the season, which started out to be a tricky one. My returning florist, who keeps my wheels turning & trust in my products! Thank you!
And to my small local crowd who reach out to simply enjoy my fresh cut bunches for gifts to loved ones!
I am truly forever grateful!
More roses have been ordered already, a mixed of hybrid tea roses for long stems & favourite David Austin breed roses for style. Seedlings in, ranunculus are popping up & other beds will be flipped.
Hope everyone is now enjoying the rain and not missing out on that after a long dry spell.

How Gorgeous are these locally grown Chrysanthemums from Lyndal
They are giving me all the feels this Mother’s Day! Lyndal’s love for flowers shines through in every petal.

Wondering what’s happening in garden now the weather is starting to turn.
Last week seen 576 seedlings planted out while the soil was still warm and the weather was nice and warm.
* Sky blue delphinium
* white delphinium
* Giant lilac delphinium
* Pink Campanula/Canterbury Bells
* Pastel Colibri Rosa Intenso Poppies

Also along with 2 boxes full of countless white and soft candy pink ranunculus.

Roses have been feed. More beds will be flipped & rested for early spring in coming weeks once the soil dries after the lovely rain yesterday.

Before the rain all beds still productive were harvested and flowers cared for and are available this week for bouquet gifts. Reach out feel welcome to inbox, text or ring.

A heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful local supporters over this last week !
Beyond grateful for all your support in purchasing my beautiful flowers in the lead up to Mother’s Day. Punching out everyday bouquets days leading up to Mother’s Day has proven a success. Understanding our busy lives and commitments, we don’t always get to see our mum on Mother’s Day or get back to the shops on the Sunday.
I have worked hard to deliver a fresh beautiful range, easy to manage bunches of flowers for this time of year for the enjoyment to our mums. I will continue this commitment.
There will be more positive changes in how we manage our blooms for next season.
Shout out to the wonderful team at foodworks Aberdeen for allowing me to offer my flowers through their store. Thank you ladies!
Lastly a big!!! Thank you to my returning local florists who also purchase my chrysanthemums for their business to send out fresh cut flowers and believe in me. Feeling supported. Thank you. x
