Tamarind is known for its unique tangy-sweet profile — not about heat, but about balance. It brings a gentle acidity that lifts dishes, cuts through richness, and adds depth to every bite.
For Chef John, it’s also deeply personal. Growing up in Vasai, India, he spent his childhood under tamarind trees — playing cricket, listening to his grandfather’s stories, and watching him cook with care. Tamarind found its way into dals, pickles, and chutneys, becoming a flavour tied to memory and home.
Today, that same inspiration lives on in everything we make.
