It’s the time of the year when we - the chings, the chongs and the fobs indulge in the best dessert ever – MOONCAKE! Think again, the traditional mooncake that we are so used to are Cantonese style mooncake. Not too far away, many many years ago, sometime around this time of year, in Shanghai, women in cheong sam, were
bustling around their kitchen, shanghai tang jazz softly playing in the background, making their version of traditional mooncake, more commonly known as Suzhou style mooncake (pork mooncake). Not to exaggerate, but this style of mooncake originate more than a thousand years ago. Happy Mooncake Festival in advance ☺
This year, our crew at MyBing will be introducing you, Yes all of you lucky #$% #@% #% Melbournians to this traditional mouth watering mooncake eaten at Mid-Autumn Festival in the JiangSu region (Shanghai, Suzhou area).
