Organic Buyers Group Hub

Organic Buyers Group Hub Our group is run by our volunteer members so you won't find cheaper!

A flexible, democratic group supporting local, sustainable food producers, making organic fruit and vegetables available to members at a reasonable price & providing an informal social space for locals to connect. Our boxes cost $45 and contain a mix of 100% certified organic fruit and vegetables dependent on what is in season and what is good value from our organic suppliers. You would normally g

et at least the same amount of fruit and veg as you would if you bought non-organic produce from the greengrocer or supermarket and a lot more than a regular organic supplier.

Romanesco cauliflowers are in season! These stunning winter vegetables are appearing across our hubs right now, and it’s easy to see why they’re a favourite. With their vibrant green colours and repeating spirals, Romanesco looks more like a piece of art than a vegetable! What makes Romanesco truly extraordinary is that its intricate pattern follows the Fibonacci sequence - a mathematical phenomenon found in the natural world. So, before you add it to your favourite winter dish, take a moment to appreciate one of nature’s most incredible creations. 💚

We had a great time at Randwick's Volunteer Expo last weekend!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the Organic Buyers Group Hub stall to learn more about how we are making organic food more affordable and accessible while building community and supporting organic, regenerative and sustainable farming.

Pictured here are Danielle Northey with Cr Masoomeh Asgari, who stopped by our stall to chat about community-led solutions, volunteering, and the power of local food networks.

Organic Buyers Group Hub is built on volunteers, and we are always inspired by the generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit of the people we meet at events like this. Whether you're interested in coordinating our weekly divvy, placing our bulk orders with the wholesaler, or simply helping at the divvy when you come to collect your organic box, there's a place for you in our growing community.

What a fantastic day at the Love Food Hate Waste – Seasonal Cooking and Produce Box Skills workshop for our North Sydney members !

It was such a joy to cook, learn, and share a meal together. There’s something really special about sitting down to enjoy delicious food that we’ve all had a hand in preparing — simple, seasonal, and full of flavour.

This hands-on session focused on building real, practical skills you can take straight home: from storing veggies so they last longer, to using the whole ingredient (stems, leaves and all!), and feeling more confident and creative with what’s in your organic produce box.

A huge thanks to Jordan, the Sustainability Education Officer , for organising this amazing event, the Council for generously hosting us, and Yvonne - General Coordinator at our North Sydney hub - for rallying us. And finally, a special thanks to Melinda from for her energy, organisation, knowledge, and for curating such a delicious menu for us all to enjoy. You are truly inspiring!

What an afternoon of hands-on fun with Organic Buyers Group Hub on Sunday!

Lenka - General Coordinator at our South Coogee hub - hosted a fabulous fermentation workshop at Green Fair, sharing the secrets to turning humble veggies into delicious fermented goodness. There was plenty of chopping, chatting, tasting and laughter along the way!

Thanks to Catherine - General Coordinator at our Randwick hub - for capturing and sharing these colourful photos. And a huge thanks to (neighbours of our Randwick hub’s divvy venue) who store our supplies and send us an influx of new members at the start of each year, many with young divvy helpers in tow. 😍
