Vegetables:
Vegetable lines continue to improve across the market with stronger availability and quality seen on Broccolini, Iceberg Lettuce, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery and Cos Lettuce. Seasonal favourites remain excellent value, particularly Iceberg, Cos, Broccoli and Cauliflower, while Eggplant is also performing well. Our featured lines this week are Orange Cauliflower and Green Cauliflower, providing a vibrant option for menus and displays. Some items remain under pressure including Kale, Large Washed Potatoes, Large Desiree Potatoes, Mushrooms, Lebanese Cucumbers, Red Coral, Purple Cauliflower, Spring Onion and Asparagus, with pricing and availability continuing to fluctuate.
Fruit:
Fruit quality continues to improve across a few key lines including Granny Smith Apples, Pink Lady Apples, Pears, Mandarins and Ruby Grapefruit, all offering strong eating quality and great value. Pears and Mandarins remain standout seasonal options and continue to feature heavily across the market. Featured fruit lines this week include Navel Oranges, Star Fruit, Custard Apples and Kanzi Apples. Some softer supply conditions continue Blueberries, Honeydew and Strawberries, which may result in inconsistent pricing and quality throughout the week.
