Whether it’s a hot Or cold bevvy you are seeking, we have you covered at Barossa Farmers Market this morning. Come see us for one of our famous Italian hot chocolates or try our real chai latte made with fresh and ground spices and real tea leaves, not the sugary, powdered stuff you get at most cafes.

It’s meant to warm up real quick today, so we also have lots of our icy cold homemade, all natural iced teas and lemonades as well as the iced version of our chai latte

We're Back and so is our Italian Hot Chocolate 🥰
After the shutdown and then restrictions on the sale of food and beverages to consume on-site, we have had a forced holiday from the market.

This week we are back and we will have plenty of our Italian-style hot chocolate at tomorrow's market for take-away consumption only (due to masking and seating requirements for food and beverage sales, you cannot consume inside the market) but you can take a seat on our benches outside the market and enjoy a moment of pure chocolate-lovers bliss.

For those who do not know what Italian hot chocolate is it is made from real couverture chocolate, fresh Jersey Fresh full cream milk and it is thickened slightly in the traditional European style. Take your tastebuds on a trip to Italy (even if the rest of you can't follow at the moment).

Don't forget your masks, see you at the Barossa Farmers Market 🙂

Italian-style Hot Chocolate back at the Barossa Farmers Market this Saturday 13th Feb

A few weeks ago, our special Italian hot chocolate machine was laid to rest, after having served us faithfully every week for the last 6 years. We had to get a new one in from overseas, as they are not a common item here in Australia like they are in Europe, and it wasn't meant to arrive until mid-March, but by some miracle in these time of delayed delivery, it actually arrived earlier than expected! As a result we will once again be able to offer our popular Cioccolata Calda (Italian Hot Chocolate) again each week at the market 😋🥰

Italian hot chocolate is different to the more common English powdered drinking chocolate. Cioccolata Calda is made from dark, delicious couverture chocolate, melted into hot milk (in this case the fabulous pure Jersey milk from Jersey Fresh) and thickened to give it some substance. It is then topped with lashings of fresh cream (also from Jersey Fresh) and sprinkled with shavings of the same couverture chocolate used to make the drink along with a little cinnamon and fresh ground nutmeg.

Saturday is going to be too hot for hot chocolate, so we won't be offering it this weekend at the Barossa Farmers Market...

Tomorrow is forecast to be 30deg and sunny, so we will have plenty of cold drinks to help keep you cool. Come say hi and grab one of our award-winning, homemade, all natural traditional lemonades or iced teas to kick off your morning on what promises to be a beautiful spring day.

You will find us in our usual spot inside the shed at the Barossa Farmers Market. We will still have our normal range of hot drinks too, for those who just can't do without a morning coffee or hot chocolate
