Have you spotted the gorgeous little Book Exchange Library in Tarana? 🌿📖
We’re so proud to share that funds raised through the Tarana Farmers Markets helped pay for this wonderful community book exchange! 🥰
It’s such a simple idea with a beautiful purpose — take a book, leave a book, and keep the stories circulating through our community. 📚✨
So next time you’re passing through Tarana, stop by, have a browse and perhaps leave one of your much-loved books for someone else to discover. Find it on the village side of the RFS shed oval (where our markets are held) ❤️

🌱 Lithgow & District Community Nursery
We’ve made a donation to this wonderful volunteer-run organisation, with just one paid manager, who grow seedlings of plants local to our area and sell them at very reasonable prices. We’re also lucky to have their regular stallholders join us at our markets! 🌿
🥫 Oberon Anglican Church
We’ve also made a donation to the Oberon Anglican Church, who provide food vouchers to members of the Oberon community who are doing it tough.
We’re especially grateful for their connection to our market through Liz Lush, the minister’s wife, who regularly joins us and generously provides FREE face painting for our little market visitors. 🎨💕
This is exactly why we love community markets. When you buy raffle tickets, shop, eat, browse and support our stallholders, you’re not only supporting local small makers, growers and crafters — you’re also helping us give back to the communities around us. 🌿❤️
