SELF MOTIVATED BUTCHER REQUIRED

We are after a self-motivated butcher to run the meat department in a small independent supermarket. What we require from you is a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as on your own. You must come prepared to provide modern butchering standards in a country environment were quality meat and veg is an important meal.

You will be responsible for all the following department requirements and have experience in delivering the following:
• Delivering all Safe food requirements in hygiene and safe food documentation daily
• The ordering and purchasing of all products and utility items for the meat department in accordance with budgets and suppliers set.
• The maintenance of the pricing program with the site Manager to make sure the business Gross profit is maintained and delivered.
• Work closely with the site Manager to promote and implement all promotional programs as directed.
We appreciate you can provide all relevant documentation of certificate of trade and references and have the skills required.
• Cutting, trimming and mincing meat
• Operating meat-cutting machinery
• Seasoning, smoking or marinating meat
• Processing meat into small goods and other meat-based products
• Weighing and pricing products
• Preparing in-store meat displays
• Selling to and advising customers
• Budgeting, stocktaking and negotiating with suppliers.
