Our Story
Locals Shannon and Di Harper opened Strand Gourmet Meats in 2013 with our North Ward store. As a young family (we have two little boys) our aim was and is, to sell great quality meat at an affordable price and offer a huge range of ready to cook products.
With the help of our hardworking staff, we now have grown to three stores (North Ward, Thuringowa and Fairfield) where we employ over 30 locals. We have opening hours that suit everyone from 8am to 7pm weekdays and 8am to 5.30pm weekends (check your local store – each centre has different trading hours).
We stock product from all different producers across Australia, from our Lilydale free range chicken through to our grass fed Cape Grim beef, consistently maintaining our quality products. Our entire ready to cook product range is made from these quality free range/grass fed sourced meats.
So if you are looking for a special cut of meat, or maybe something just ready to put in the oven, drop in and see one of our fantastic staff.
