*INCOMING RANT*

We have had a couple of an eye opening moments the past couple of weeks, and I’d like to share a little something with you.
Any one who has had work done by us, would know that we take pride in our work, all the way from the slaughtering to closing the customers fully stocked freezer door at the very end of the job.
We have experienced (a few times now) the left over meat in the customers freezers from previous onsite butchers. You could imagine how we feel opening up a chest freezer only to find the bottom of the freezer was frozen solid with bags stuck together, ripped and torn covered in freezer burn that even a crow bar couldn’t seperate. We went from heartbroken which then lead pretty quickly to anger that for the customer who puts in time, effort and money in raising their animals, hand selecting them to fill their freezers to feed their families and this is how other onsite butchers treat their customers , no respect for the paddock to plate mission we are all wanting to provide.
This isn’t a “blowing our own trumpet” post, or a “bagging out” other onsite butchers post. This is a reminder to the farmers that you guys should expect better, and a reminder to other onsite butchers that these farmers pay for a service from us that puts food on our tables so please make sure all of their food ends up on theirs 🐮🐑🐷🐐

We had the absolute pleasure of processing 2x Red Wagyu steers last weekend down at the Island, and wow these farmers have really spoilt their animals! They had been feeding them on a specialised grain blend for the last 6 months and it shows in the finished product. Both steers were over 400kg carcass weight but check out the marbling on them 😍

Good evening, viewers. As we approach 8pm on Sunday, let's review the week’s activities. On Wednesday afternoon, we undertook two process, cut, pack, and label jobs at Garfield, involving a mob of 4 lambs and a mob of 3 nearby. James utilized his day off on Friday to travel to Poowong and process, cut, and pack two veal bodies. On Saturday, we culled two steers on the peninsula, both of which had dressed weights exceeding 420kgs. Today, our schedule included visits to two farms, where we processed 3 lambs at Buln Buln and 3 lambs, along with one goat, at Bayles. Next week is expected to be a busy period for processing. Wowee what a day 😮‍💨 4 jobs in 1 day! That is a first for us here at On The Move, we were literally on the move, Seaview to Iona to Bunyip to Tyers… And maybe a sneaky little Maccas stop in between 😜
4 Bodies of beef and 3 lambs, bring on the hectic run before Christmas.
We are so grateful for our amazing customers all 4 jobs today are repeat’s and the next couple of weeks are new family’s we are excited to meet.

Good evening, Tasha and I are the faces you commonly see when we visit farms to process beef, lamb, and pork. Nevertheless, we recognize the invaluable contributions of many others who have supported us throughout our journey. As we are both stubborn and hesitant to ask for help or impose our problems on others, this post serves as a heartfelt thank you. We begin by expressing our deepest gratitude to our parents, who not only gave us life but also taught us the importance of a strong work ethic, morals, and values. We also appreciate the sacrifices made by our children, who have spent countless hours without us while we work. Furthermore, we acknowledge the assistance of my brothers, Josh, Jacob, and Trent, as well as Jamie and Aaron, who generously lent us their trailer. We are also indebted to those who have helped us with substantial jobs and, above all, to the farmers who have placed their trust in us.
