What’s in your pantry? 🫒

Some of our favourite things at Illalangi are the everyday staples - the ones you (& us in the cafe kitchen) reach for again and again.

Our pasta sauces, local olive oil, caramelised wattle seed balsamic, relishes, jams, syrups, spices and more are all there to make a good meal just that little bit easier (and tastier!).

You’ll also start to notice some new labels on our shelves, helping you tell the difference between our Handmade by us range and the products we’ve Handpicked by us from other producers we love. 🌿

We’re excited to welcome Pundi Produce to the Illalangi shelves!

Proudly South Australian and made in the Riverland on Ngawait Country, Pundi celebrates native Australian botanicals and the incredible flavours of our region.

Pundi was founded by Yuin man Dominic Smith, whose approach to farming is deeply connected to sustainability, Indigenous knowledge and working with native crops. His farm grows native ingredients including river mint, saltbush, lemon myrtle, wattle seed, warrigal and bush tomatoes.

We’re currently stocking Pundi’s Wattleseed, Bitters and Sodas, with plenty more to discover as we explore the range.

We’re looking forward to sharing more about Pundi, the story behind the products and some delicious ways you can enjoy them. 💚

Hello, Spring! 🌱🌸

The first day of Spring in the Riverland is when you really start to notice the change.

Almond trees are blooming, buds are bursting on our fruit trees, and warmer days are bringing more visitors back to our beautiful corner of the world.

🚗 Travelling from Adelaide to the Riverland or Mildura? Illalangi makes the perfect pit stop — roughly two hours from Adelaide and two hours from Mildura.

Take a proper break from the road, stretch your legs, grab a coffee and settle in for something delicious and nourishing made with local produce. It’s a much better way to break up the drive than pushing on when you’re due for a rest.

As smooth as butter, with an absolutely stunning flavour - our favourite locally grown Murray River Pecans are back! 🌿

We love them straight from the bag, but if you’re looking for a few more ways to enjoy these golden little gems, here are some of our favourites:

🍐 Pear, blue cheese & rocket salad — give the pecans a good crunch and scatter them over the top.

🥧 Pecan pie — an absolute bliss of a treat.

🧀 Grazing boards — swap out the usual almonds and cashews for something a little special.

🍯 Baked brie — top a wheel of brie with pecans and Half-Barrel honey, then bake until gloriously gooey.

🍫 A little sweet treat — pop a pecan and a spoonful of Almond Farmer almond butter into a date, then dip in dark chocolate for a Bite-sized, delicious treat!

You might have tried our award-winning Caramelised Wattle Seed Balsamic on your Grazing Platter for Two or drizzled on your salad.

This beautifully balanced, caramelised balsamic is one of those pantry staples that can make something simple feel a little bit special.
