Unpackaged Cooperative Warrnambool We are a volunteer-run food coop open monthly (Feb-Dec) focussed on reducing food packaging & costs

The Unpackaged Food Cooperative Warrnambool acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, value their culture and knowledge and pay our respects to them and their Elders, past, present and emerging. We also thank the following organisations for their financial assistance;
-Warrnambool City Council
-Fletcher Jones Fund

Unpackaged Food Cooperative is guided by the following;
-Food must be able t

o be purchased in bulk to avoid as much packaging as possible.
-Food is purchased directly from the wholesalers to reduce costs.
-Members share the labour in ordering, purchasing, collecting and distributing foods.
-Where possible, foods produced in Australia are purchased.
-When certain foods are not available from Australia, an attempt is made to purchase the products from as just source as possible.
-Where possible, foods of organic origin are included.
-Where foods are available in the required quality and quantity, they are purchased from local businesses.

Great time to load up on the winter warmers: soup things (lentils, beans, rice, couscous and pasta), baking things (flours, seeds, dried fruits, nuts and sugar), and don't forget the drinking chocolate 😋☕️☕️

↖️New: Lucent Globe laundry and dishwashing sheets 🌞💭

↖️New roster system in June pick up! Fill your own containers, 2 volunteers per shift. More details to follow in newsletter 👍🛍

↘️The co-op is no longer stocking toilet paper. Luckily most stores now sell tp in plastic-free packaging 💚🌏

↘️Chocolate crisis!! Cost gone up, availability gone down🍫🥺 It's a global issue, sadly (the climate thing)
