🚧 Week 34 of 21 – Signs of Progress! 🚧

For the first time in a while, there are actually a few things to report.

✅ Fences are coming down
✅ Grass has been planted
✅ Road lines are supposedly going down next week

We're now 34 weeks into what started as a 21-week project, but at least things are finally moving.

One thing we're still scratching our heads about is the proposed traffic flow.

The word is that some traffic may need to exit, turn left, head to the roundabout, then come back again instead of simply turning right.

Maybe we've misunderstood.
Maybe somebody else misunderstood.
Or maybe it's just another chapter in the roadworks story 😄

Either way, after months of barriers, trenches and swimming pools, we can finally see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

Good news this week:
Nobody parked in our back driveway 😄

Bad news:
That’s because they blocked the driveway again for several days while repairing their repairs.

As for the roadworks?

❌ Zero changes
❌ Same barriers
❌ Same slow progress

We did spot a worker though, so technically something happened 😂

Current prediction:
Camera lady says maybe 5 more weeks.

I reckon… 12.

🚧 Week 30 of 21 – The “Nothing Happened” Update 🚧

This week’s progress report:

❌ Nothing changed
❌ No visible progress
❌ Same roadworks
❌ Same barriers

The back dock is now basically a parking area for vehicles heading into the base, making deliveries even harder.

We’ve complained.
Nothing happens.

So at this point… all we can really do is laugh 😄

The famous Winnellie “swimming pool” has dried up though, so that’s something.
