হজরত লোকমান হাকিমের জ্ঞান ও প্রজ্ঞার প্রসিদ্ধি বিশ্বজুড়ে সমাদৃত। আল্লাহ তাআলা তাকে এই বিশেষ জ্ঞান দিয়েছিলেন। যেমন খিজির আলাইহিস সালামকে দেয়া হয়েছিল। আল্লাহ তার কথাকে কোরআনে নসিহত হিসেবে বর্ণনা করেছেন।
পবিত্র কোরআনের একত্রিশতম সুরাটির নাম লোকমান হাকিমের নামে রাখা হয়েছে।

মাওলানা নোমান বিল্লাহ

তার নামে পবিত্র কোরআনে একটি সুরা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে। তিনি নবী ছিলেন না আল্লাহ তাআলার বিশেষ বান্দা ছিলেন তা নিয়ে আলেমদের মধ্যে মতভেদ আছে। তবে যাই হোক না কেন। আল্লাহ তাআলা তাকে যে জ্ঞান দিয়েছিলেন তা কোরআনে উল্লেখ করে তাকে সম্মানিত করা হয়েছে। তার উপদেশমালা তুলে ধরা হলো।


#শরিক করো না
লোকমান (আ.) তার ছেলেকে বলেন, ‘হে বৎস, আল্লাহর সঙ্গে শরিক করো না। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহর সঙ্গে শরিক করা মহা অন্যায়।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৩)


#মা-বাবার সঙ্গে সৎ ব্যবহার করবে
লোকমান (আ.) আল্লাহ তাআলার এই কথা তার ছেলেকে জানিয়েছেন, ‘আর আমি মানুষকে তার মাতাপিতার সঙ্গে সদ্ব্যবহারের জোর নির্দেশ দিয়েছি। তার মাতা তাকে কষ্টের পর কষ্ট করে গর্ভে ধারণ করেছে। তার দুধ ছাড়ানো দুই বছরে হয়। নির্দেশ দিয়েছি যে আমার প্রতি ও তোমার মাতাপিতার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও। অবশেষে আমারই কাছে ফিরে আসতে হবে।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৪)


#পিতামাতার হারাম আদেশ মানবে না
লোকমান (আ.) তার ছেলেকে বলেন, ‘মাতা-পিতা যদি তোমাকে আমার সঙ্গে এমন বিষয়কে শরিক স্থির করতে পীড়াপীড়ি করে, যার জ্ঞান তোমার নেই, তবে তুমি তাদের কথা মানবে না এবং দুনিয়াতে তাদের সঙ্গে সদ্ভাবে সহাবস্থান করবে।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৫)

#নামাজ কায়েম করো
নামাজ সম্পর্কে লোকমান (আ.) বলেন, ‘হে বৎস, নামাজ কায়েম করো।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৭, প্রথমাংশ)


#সৎ কাজের আদেশ ও অসৎ কাজের নিষেধ
সন্তানকে নম্রতা ও বিনয়ের শিক্ষা দিয়ে লোকমান (আ.) বলেন, ‘সৎ কাজে আদেশ দাও, মন্দ কাজে নিষেধ করো।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৭, মধ্যাংশ)

#ধৈর্য ধরো
লোকমান (আ.) ছেলেকে বলেন, ‘বিপদাপদে সবর করো। নিশ্চয়ই এটা সাহসিকতার কাজ।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৭, শেষাংশ)

#কাউকে অবজ্ঞা করো না
লোকমান (আ.) ছেলেকে বলেন, ‘আর তুমি মানুষের দিক থেকে তোমার মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিও না।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৮, প্রথমাংশ)

#অহংকারী হয়ো না
তিনি তার ছেলেকে বলেন, ‘আর জমিনে দম্ভভরে চলাফেরা করো না; নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ কোনো দাম্ভিক, অহংকারীকে পছন্দ করেন না’। (সুরা লোকমান ১৮, শেষাংশ)

#মধ্যম পন্থা অবলম্বন করো
লোকমান (আ.) সন্তানকে বিনয়ের উপদেশ দিয়ে বলেন, ‘পদচারণে মধ্যবর্তিতা অবলম্বন কোরো।’ (সুরা লোকমান ১৯, প্রথমাংশ)
