আজ শুক্রবার সকাল ৯টা ২৫ মিনিটের দিকে সিলেট-জকিগঞ্জ সড়কের গোলাপগঞ্জের পাঁশে বিআরটিসি বাসের সাথে অন্য একটি বাসের মুখোমুখি সং-ঘ-র্ষ হয়। এতে প্রায় অর্ধশতাধিক লোক আহত হওয়ার খবর পাওয়া গেলেও কেউ নিহত হওয়ার খবর প্রাথমিকভাবে পাওয়া যায়নি।
প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জকিগঞ্জ সংবাদকে জানান, সকাল ৭ টা ৩০ মিনিটের সময় জকিগঞ্জ থেকে ছেড়ে যাওয়া সিলেটগামী বিআরটিসি বাস ও সিলেট থেকে ছেড়ে আসা জকিগঞ্জগামী অন্য একটি বাসের সাথে গোলাপগঞ্জ পৌর এলাকার দাড়িপাতন নামক স্থানে মুখোমুখি সং-ঘ-র্ষ হলে এ দূর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
