"Farming is passion, not a paycheck. Do it for the money, and the long days will break you. Do it for the love of the land, and you'll last. 🌾

Every early morning and late sundown reminds us why we started. It’s about building something sustainable from the ground up. 🚜🌱

Corn silage: why it matters for farm animals 🌽📦

Corn silage is the whole plant – stalks, leaves, and grain – preserved through fermentation. It’s a reliable, high-quality feed that helps keep animals healthy and productive.

Why is silage important for farm animals?

Provides consistent nutrition year-round

Easily digested and energy-rich

Reduces feed waste compared to dry hay

Fermentation naturally preserves it without chemicals

From cattle to goats, pigs to poultry – silage supports the animals that support the farm.

Grower Hack: Balance Tree Energy

Excess vegetative growth pulls energy away from nut development. Balanced canopy growth helps direct energy where it matters most.

Good management of nitrogen, irrigation, and canopy growth makes a real difference. In Oregon hazelnut trials, Kelpak-supported programmes delivered average yield increases of 17%, with early applications showing the strongest results.

Balanced trees perform more consistently - and that shows up at harvest.
