Classic Pesto π Rancho Vignola Recipe Time! πΏ
Fresh Basil blended with crunchy Nuts, rich cheese, and good olive oil is deceptively simple and endlessly versatile. While traditionally made with Pine Nuts, this version works beautifully with Rancho Vignola Raw Walnuts too, or a mix of both if thatβs what you have on hand.

Classic Pesto
Makes about 1 cup
Ingredients:
π 2 cups Basil Leaves, packed lightly
π Β½ cup Pine Nutsπ‘
π Β½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
π β
to Β½ cup Olive Oil
π 2 cloves Garlic, or more to taste
π ΒΌ tsp Salt
π ΒΌ tsp Pepper, fresh ground
π‘ RV Tip: If you donβt have Pine Nuts, Walnuts also work very well in this recipe, or use a combination of both.
1. In a food processor, pulse the Garlic until finely chopped. Scrape down the sides.
2. Add Basil Leaves, Pine Nuts, Parmesan, Salt, and Pepper. Pulse into a crumbly texture.
3. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the Olive Oil to help emulsify the pesto. Start with β
cup and add more as needed to reach your preferred consistency.
4. The final texture should be creamy but still show flecks of Basil and bits of Nuts for a rustic finish.
