We are restocked with some amazing new flavours from Kate’s Kookies. We highly recommend the ‘PB Blackout’! Garden extras are making their way into the fridge for the weekends 😁Its Saturday so the bread just arrived and it’s still warm! I’ve been potting on hardy annuals and herbs and we will have some cheap and cheerful plant starts for the next while.

First heatwave of the year arrived early 😮‍💨 The jars were bubbling by 9:00 to avoid trying to get Jam to set in a sauna. They are a bit young to go outside this year but Kratos and Athena are learning the ropes to be the new Jam Stand cats. He certainly has the love capacity for it. She might fight your children, we will see what happens 🤷‍♀️. They are both adorable and are bonding really well.

One week before opening and it’s time to process the elderflowers! Every year we open with as much elderflower jelly as I have time to process and when it’s gone it’s gone. Our purple elder tree only holds onto its blooms for about a week before it’s over so it’s a rush to pick, stew, strain and jellifiy! Last year we had some issues getting it to set, this year I’ve made a change 😎 see you all soon!

It is with very heavy hearts that we have to report one of our regulars will be missing from the Jam Stand this season. Our beautiful Mr.Odin passed away two weeks ago. The stand will be back open in May with all the regular goodies but missing the the welcoming comitee. Odin never did recover from loosing his dog (Thor) and had a barrage of health issues since. He was and always will be the menace we couldn't help but love, the favourite. He ran these streets and loved the catnip like no other.
