Public Notice: Bowmanville Farmers Market – 2026 Season Update

The Bowmanville Farmers Market would like to share an important update with our community.

After careful consideration, the in-person market will not be operating for the 2026 season.

We recognize that vendor applications for this season had already been launched, and this decision was not made lightly. As planning progressed, it became clear that the level of structural updates and improvements required to strengthen the market long-term could not be properly implemented within the current season timeline.

This pause will allow the time needed to complete those updates and refinements, with a focus on long-term sustainability, enhanced vendor experience, and increased impact within the community.

During this time, we are currently making updates to our website and communication channels. We encourage community members, vendors, and partners to visit:

for ongoing updates as they become available.

While the regular market will not take place this season, we may explore opportunities for limited initiatives, such as smaller pop-up events. Any updates will be shared through our official channels if and when plans are confirmed.

Remember this photo taken at our Grand Opening in 2023?

We’re so proud to say we’ve made it through three amazing years — and we’re bringing every lesson learned, every bit of growth, and all that experience into our fourth season at the Bowmanville Farmers Market.

And now… big news.

We are officially opening applications this Sunday, February 1st at noon for the upcoming season — welcoming vendors, food producers, makers, musicians and performers, nonprofits, and educational booths.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes and are getting ready to announce a few exciting changes for this year’s market. Trust us when we say — we cannot wait to share what’s coming.
