June 1–7 is Local Food Week, and there’s no better place to celebrate than at the Codrington Farmers’ Market, where you’ll find an incredible selection of locally grown and produced foods.
Fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit arrive as they ripen, including peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, beets, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, carrots, potatoes, apples, strawberries, and much more. Looking for locally raised meat? Visit Dang Beef for a full range of beef cuts, or stop by Century Game Park for bison and elk products, along with their popular pepperettes and smoked pork chops.
Don’t forget to pick up the ever-popular maple syrup and honey products.
Need sauces and condiments to complete your meal? Be sure to check out Basoli Sauces, Mi Cocina, and Vegg Up. These vendors proudly use locally sourced ingredients to create their delicious products.
Thank you for supporting local food vendors. Your purchases help local businesses grow, strengthen our local economy, and keep more dollars circulating within our communities.

Yay! It’s the last Sunday of the month - and the first time this season that the Brighton Fire and Rescue team will be joining us at the Market!
We’re incredibly grateful for the time they generously volunteer each month to connect with our community, share important fire safety information, and delight young visitors with fun giveaways. The kids always enjoy having the chance to climb aboard and experience what it’s like to be a firefighter for a day (or 15 minutes).

Meet Our Vendors: 1852 Fiber Mill is Cindy’s relatively new company, dedicated to celebrating homegrown fiber and wool products. Her flock includes Southdown and Suffolk crosses, as well as purebred Icelandic and Scottish Blacknose sheep. The sheep enjoy both indoor and outdoor access year-round, and lambs typically arrive in May and June. After spring shearing, the fleece is transformed into a wide variety of handcrafted products made right on site.
This year at the market, Cindy will be offering roving, core-spun yarn, batting and stuffing, insoles, felted mulch, dryer balls, felted sheets, and many other fiber products.
In addition to finished goods, 1852 Fiber Mill provides custom fiber processing services. Cindy welcomes fleece for processing year-round and also purchases select fleece from her customers and local sheep farms. All fiber is raised in Ontario, and every product is crafted on site. As the business continues to grow, additional processing options and services are planned.
Cindy is incredibly knowledgeable and is ready to answer your questions.
