This is my farmers market haul from the Dalhousie Farmers’ Market YYC this week for my family of 5.

Sourgough bread, farm fresh fruit and veg, farm fresh meats and eggs, locally grown spelt, handmade condiments, preserved veggies, ready to eat Indian food for dinner, and fresh baked cookies for treats.

Due to the risk of lightning, we have moved indoors to the Dalhousie Community Association. If you don’t see the tents outside, don’t worry — we’re inside!

Live your Little House on the Prairie life.🌾

Come to the farmers' market, pick up fresh vegetables, homemade baking, locally raised meats, fresh eggs, and then walk home with a bag of prairie-grown spelt tucked under your arm.

This week, Sabatier Heritage Foods will have 1 kg bags of pearled spelt available at the Dalhousie Farmers' Market. With its hearty texture and nutty flavour, pearled spelt is perfect for soups, grain bowls, salads, and side dishes.

There's just something wonderfully prairie about bringing home a bag of locally grown grain.
