🍎 Can you feel it? Apple season is getting close!

Today we’re saying goodbye to the last day of calendar summer with gorgeous sunshine, a little chill in the wind… and an orchard full of apples getting closer to picking day. ☀️🌳

After last night’s rain, the apples are looking especially happy. They’re growing bigger and sweeter every day, and we’re now walking the orchard and checking them regularly to see when they’ll be just right for U-Pick.

And we already know who is likely to be first… 👀

🍏 Ginger Gold is looking beautiful this year and promising a good crop! It should be one of our first varieties ready for picking.

We know many of you are waiting. ❤️ Thank you so much to everyone who has messaged and called asking when we’ll be open! We love knowing that you’re as excited about apple season as we are. 🙌

We don’t have the exact opening date just yet — Mother Nature gets the final say. 😊 But we expect to announce our first U-Pick day within the next week or so.

Hi everyone! 👋

We’ve been a little quiet here lately. After a short summer break, we’ve been busy working in the orchard, and there’s a lot happening behind the scenes! 🌳🍎

Most of you know Belvedere Orchard for our apples (14 different varieties!), but we’ve also been growing a few new fruits, and this summer brought us some exciting firsts.

We have our very first peaches! 🍑

Our peach trees are still quite small and need a few more years to grow, but seeing the first little peaches on the branches is pretty exciting. And it looks like we’re going to have our first pears from our young pear trees too! 🍐

Of course, we’re keeping a close eye on the apples. After the recent rain, they’re getting noticeably bigger, and it’s wonderful to walk through the orchard and see this year’s crop developing. 😍🍏🍎

There’s still some growing and ripening to do, but September is getting closer, which means U-Pick season is coming! 💞

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to Belvedere Orchard this fall. 🫶

☀️ What a summer we're having!

Every morning when I walk through the orchard, I can't help but smile. The sunshine, the warm days, and just the right amount of rain have given our apple trees everything they need to thrive.

The apples are growing beautifully this year. They're getting bigger every week, and it's exciting to watch another season slowly come to life. Nature has its own pace, and one of the greatest pleasures of growing apples is seeing that transformation day by day.

There's still a little time before harvest begins, but I can already tell this is shaping up to be a wonderful season.

I thought I'd share a little glimpse of what's happening here at Belvedere Orchard. Thank you for following our journey and cheering us on throughout the year. Did you know Belvedere Orchard is home to more than just apples? 🍎

Many of you have asked if we'll ever have peaches, and we're happy to say... yes! Our young peach trees are growing beautifully and have already produced their very first peaches. 🍑 🍑 🍑

They're still small, and it will take a few more years before they're ready for everyone to enjoy. But seeing these first fruits is an exciting milestone, and we couldn't wait to share it with you. We look forward to the day when you and your loved ones can stroll through the orchard and pick fresh, juicy peaches right from the tree. Until then, we'll keep watching them grow—one season at a time! 🌿

There's something magical about a perfect summer evening at Belvedere Orchard! ☀️

With a beautiful +23°C, golden sunshine, and breathtaking views across the orchard, it's one of those moments that makes you stop and simply enjoy the beauty around you. Our apple trees are thriving, and this year's crop is looking incredibly promising. Every day, the apples grow a little bigger, bringing us one step closer to harvest. 😍🍎🍏

Here at Belvedere Orchard, Canada Day reminds us how grateful we are to grow on Prince Edward Island soil, surrounded by hardworking farmers, supportive neighbours, and families who make local agriculture part of their traditions.

After the heavy rain, Saturday surprised us with a true taste of spring, +30°C in the sun! 🌞

Our crew worked hard all day, carefully trimming the apple trees just before the buds began to open—such an important moment in the season. 🌳

Now we’re keeping our fingers crossed for more sunny days next week to keep everything moving beautifully! 😎
