A Heartfelt Message from Jack and Rhonda,

After nine incredible years, we wanted to share some bittersweet news, we have decided to retire, effective Saturday, March 1, 2025.

It’s hard to put into words just how much these years have meant to us. We are deeply grateful to our amazing employees, whose dedication, hard work, and loyalty have been the heart of our Foodland. You’ve been more than just a team—you’ve been family!

To our wonderful community, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support, kindness, and friendship have meant everything to us. We will always treasure the relationships we’ve built and the memories we’ve made together. This community is truly special, and we feel so fortunate to have been a part of it.

As we prepare for this next chapter, we will be closing the store on Saturday, March 1st, to complete an inventory count and return the store to Sobeys. Sobeys will then begin the search for the perfect new franchisee—someone who will carry on the tradition of serving this amazing community.

Your Foodland will reopen on Sunday, March 2 with the same familiar faces you know and trust ready to welcome you back with business as usual.

We also wanted to let you know that our 50/50 draw will be on hold, with the final draw happening after closing on February 28th (we’ll continue drawing until we have a winner!). Since the lottery license is in our names, the new franchisee will apply for a new one once they are in place.

This isn’t goodbye—it’s simply a new beginning.
