A new season is here! 🤍

A big huge THANK YOU to our girls.

As our girls head back to school, we’re making a few changes at the market & cafe to create a little more balance for our family, our team, and our business.

We’re shifting our focus to what we love most, great coffee, fresh grab-and-go, deli, baking, local products and a welcoming place to stop. ☕️🥪🍦

Lots of goodies going on this weekend!

In lieu of our very slow to ripen field tomatoes we are offering all our heirlooms, beefsteak and Roma tomatoes at $2.50/lb for quantities of 10 pounds or more

Our own sweet corn! Yes we do grow some corn but only a small amount. I Haven’t quite figured out how to grow the volume we would need economically using our organic practices. But here’s an opportunity if you have been searching for an alternative option. This is yellow super sweet Honey select, non gmo and grown with no chemicals.

The strawberries are still going strong and weren’t affected by the wee bit of rain we had. Hopefully keep going a while longer but will likely be finished once we’ve had consecutive days of rain.

Lots of other late summer bounties including a good variety of apples, pears and other fruits.

Our own farm super sweet vine ripened Honeydew melons Buy 2 get 1 free! The coming rains might put an end to the crop but we harvested as many ripe ones as we could

A bit later than I had hoped but our own field tomatoes are finally coming on. They should really start ramping up if some heat comes back. $2/lb available by 20lb box. Flavour is excellent, good meaty variety great for canning and sauces

Strawberries on sale for the rest of the summer
2 pints for $10, and $60/flat

This is a good example to show how strawberry season works for us. In early summer strawberries are in very high demand as the typical strawberry season is in June. However with day neutral or ever bearing varieties like these, they produce all season and really pick up in August. We weren’t selling flats or doing volume discount earlier in the season as we anticipated we would run into a surplus in late summer and could offer a good deal!

So if you’ve been wanting to fill your freezer or make jams now is the time! Once the rains and high humidity arrives, the season will come to an end

Half price pickling cucumbers. $1.25/lb slicing size. Still in great shape we are just over loaded! Also still have cases of freshly picked ones if interested in those instead.

Also have cases of okanagan field tomatoes, beefsteak and Romas.

For anyone not to picky about their pickles, we have lots of pickling cucumbers at a discount! Minimum 20% off, up to half price depending on how many days past picking. We picked more cucumbers in the past week than we did the entire month combined previously and are little overwhelmed with supply. Cucumber season will start winding down soon and our next couple
Pickings might be mostly spoken for, so if you’ve been thinking about it now is a great time to get a good deal and make some pickles!

Strawberries coming in like crazy off the field again today. Also found a few of the first melons of the season. Should start coming on strong by the end of the week but we have a few for now and they are definitely a treat. Taste test approved!
