June 6th at Farm and Market Clarenville, join Qalipu First Nation for a hands-on session making Luskini’kin and roasting it over a fire while learning about the culture.
Luskini’kin, also known as Bannock, is a bread that the Mi’kmaq people made from simple ingredients like flour, lard, salt, and water, and varies throughout other Indigenous cultures. Although Luskini'kin has been adapted over time, it remains a staple in many Mi’kmaw homes.
This event is free and open to everyone. We hope to see you there!
