I do not remember what auction sale I found this beautiful craftspersonship at but I did discover she is a local artist!

How and why did Rose create this piece? Did she do it amongst her busy tasks? Or did she do it now that life had slowed down?

I am interested in these pieces that will never be in art galleries but are clearly art.

The Eastend Astronomy Club is celebrating "International Astronomy Day" on Saturday, April 29th, with an Open House at the Wilkinson Memorial Observatory, 4kms southwest of Eastend on highway #13. Providing the weather co-operates and it isn't cloudy!

Hours will run from:
4pm - 6pm for Solar viewing - looking at the sun for solar flares and prominences through telescopes with special filters on for looking at the sun!

9pm to 11pm for night-time viewing of planets, special stars and other celestial objects.

Free Admission. Everyone is Welcome. Dress warm!
