The season has come to its natural end rather peacefully this year.
We're grateful for so many reasons, among them:
🍁a good growing year,
🍁a great farm team,
🍁committed customers that value good food and responsible farming,
🍁and a store of good food that will continue to nourish our customers and our family through the winter months.
Happy belated thanksgiving to you all!
The photos are from this past week: me in the kale patch - one of my happy places, Jose Juan and Miguel harvesting the last of the parsnips, the aurora borealis over the farm, Silas and James starting off the parsnip harvest, the flock of rusty blackbirds that's taken a shine to our leftover corn in the field, the garlic all tucked in with snowfencing, the last of the herbs drying in the barn, the purple kale patch was a stunner this year, and a sample of a large farm box from last week's orders.
