"The Comforter"

On this new day, I find myself thinking about the quilts my Momma and Brother made. I always feel love and comfort when I wrap myself in one of them. I think of the love, the time, the creative thought and the work that went into them, and I realize; that we have been made with the same love and time and work. We as people no matter what religion, no matter what political views, no matter the colour of our skin or our gender, were made with the same love at our very core. Some of us may have forgotten this love, some of us do not even believe it exists and yet this love that is here to hold you and comfort you, never goes away; even if we dont believe in it. That comfort is always there for us in every moment, in every sadness, in every confusion and in every happiness. The greatest love of all is here to wrap you in its beautiful fibres all the time. I think right now many of us are asking to be shown this. On this day you are gifted, give yourself a few minutes just to breath and imagine the corners of the quilt gently coming together to embrace and nestle you in love. Imagine also, a beautiful quilt wrapping itself around the entire planet and a united sigh of relief is heard everywhere as we nestle together as one.
