When we reopened our doors after losing everything in Jasper, we never imagined how many people would rally around us. Journalists, photographers, writers, and media outlets across Alberta have helped amplify our story far beyond what we could have done on our own.

A Jasper food-scene stalwart rebuilds in Edmonton

One thing we’ve learned through the Kindness Sandwich
program is that kindness grows when it’s shared.

Thanks to your support, we’ve recently donated
100 vouchers to YouCan Youth Services and provided
50 sandwiches to the Pregnant and Parenting Teen
graduates at Braemar School.

We’ve also had so many people walk through our doors
to redeem a Kindness Sandwich. Some arrive quietly.
Some are overwhelmed with gratitude.
Some simply need a meal and a little reminder
that someone cares.

These aren’t just sandwiches.
They’re a reminder that community
shows up for one another,
often in ways we never see.

This isn’t something we’ve done.
It’s something we’ve done together.

To every person who has purchased a Kindness Sandwich,
thank you. Your generosity is feeding people, lifting people up,
and helping us create the kind of community we all want to
be part of. ❤️

A little gratitude post today.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave us a review.
Running a small business means putting your heart on the line every single day. In a world where everyone has a platform and every experience can be shared online, reviews truly matter.
They can lift a business up, help it grow, and sometimes challenge it to do better.

The truth is, we don’t get it right every time. We’re human.

Some walls hold drywall.

Ours holds stories.

Back in Jasper, we had a wall that people signed over the years. It became a collection of memories, friendships, celebrations, and moments that mattered. When we opened our doors in Edmonton, we knew we wanted to create that tradition again.

What started as a blank wall has quickly become something so much bigger.

Every message, signature, drawing, word of encouragement, memory, joke, and expression of support reminds us why we do what we do. On the hard days, we read it. On the good days, we read it. It reminds us that Patricia Street Deli has always been about more than sandwiches.

It’s about community.

The love, nostalgia, hope, joy, and profound support written on these walls have carried us from Jasper to Edmonton, and we are grateful for every single person who has been part of that journey.

Hundreds of people have already signed our wall, and if you haven’t yet, we’d love for you to add your name, your story, or a little piece of your heart to it.

Live music has always had a way of weaving itself
into the biggest moments of our lives. ❤️

This Friday at Patricia Street Deli, we are so honoured
to welcome back Aaron and Giselle Parker.

Their music carries a deep significance for our family
and this little deli journey of ours. Wendy worked with
Giselle many years ago, long before any of us could
have imagined where life would lead.

Eight years ago, Aaron and Giselle played
while Wendy and Glen walked down the aisle.
Years later, they joined us in Jasper as we celebrated
Patricia Street Deli’s 20-year reunion before the fires.
And once again, they were there beside us during
our soft opening here in Edmonton, filling the room
with the kind of music that makes people stop,
breathe, and just be present together.

Aaron and Giselle Parker have been performing together
for over 20 years. As a couple, they have honed a style
of close harmony that can only come from hundreds
of hours playing together. As independent artists in
their own right — under their own names as well as
performing with Edmonton act Cantoo —
the Parkers have played in each other’s bands
in addition to performing as a duo.
Their repertoire is a mix of familiar and carefully
chosen songs focused on melody, harmony,
and bittersweet emotion -music that brings people together.

And honestly, that’s exactly what they’ve always done for us.
Some people don’t just play music in your life-
they become part of the soundtrack of it. ❤️
