Hawkins; Winston Keith

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Winston Hawkins on September 29, 2025 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia, of Flesherton at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Benson). Loving father of Gavin (Wanda), Jennifer, Jarrett (Karen Neil). Grandfather of Xavier and Xander. Treasured uncle of Rob Burns and Robert Hawkins. Brother of Raymond (Nancy), Gordon (Debbie) and Bob (Ruth Wilson). Brother-in-law of Pauline Hawkins. Predeceased by his parents, Hector and Velma and his siblings; Murray, Ron, Marilyn (Jack) Todd and Beverley Burns.

Winston was born in North York to his parents, Hector and Velma and grew up in the Toronto area with his much loved siblings until relocating to British Columbia to pursue a career as an RCMP officer. Working various careers until returning to Ontario in 1970 to help start Maxwell Meats alongside his brother Ray, which has been a staple in the Flesherton Community since. Winston was a kind hearted man, helping others when any need arose, donating to causes that spoke to his heart and pouring love and dedication into his family and community. His constant, dependable and social spirit will be greatly missed. His incredible work ethic will live on in his family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 3rd from 6pm-8pm and Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception Ltd. 1 Highland Drive, Flesherton, Ontario. Interment Maxwell Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Plan International Canada or Your Local Animal Shelter of Choice.
