Just look at that face!!! Two months earlier than we planned and here we go, lambing again. I’m always suprised and delighted how cute and sweet these baby lambs are. Come on by the farm to hold one!
Thanks again Kristen Haines

Standing guard as we enter early lambing. CONWAY TWITTY (aka BIG TURK) is massive next W***Y NELSON, he’s growing so much and is only 9 months old. He’s finally learning his job with the sheep and has become very serious about it. Yesterday he chased a moose off the property and I swear he was running as fast as it was.
Guard on Turkish, you magnificent beast!

We are sad to announce the passing of BOOTS our beloved goat, survived by his mother Gene and brother Hercules.
Boots was a lovely goat, playful, smart and shy. He loved head butts and zoomies with his brother and never left his mom’s side.
RIP Boots with the fur, you were loved.

This morning we were blessed and completely side swiped to find two baby lambs!!! We had a bit of a situation in September when we realized we had “neutered” ram hiding within our flock. We noticed when we had the ladies sheered and turns out, with one testy they can still do the job.
So here we are… lambing in February during an unexpectedly warm front with above zero temps all week. Thank you Jesus.
Stay tuned!

Yesterday we welcomed Taco and Jellybean to our farm! These boys are the brothers of our original Kune Kune pigs, Cheesecake and Apple Betty.
These boys will live here until the fall where they will live a wonderfully spoiled life until they make their way over the rainbow bridge into freezer camp.
Kune Kunes usually yield ~80-100 pounds of pork, not as much as your typical breeds but enough for us. We picked Kune Kunes because they were smaller, social and interactive pigs that get along with just about anything and anyone. They like belly rubs, long walks and pumpkins. I might also add they are adorable!!
This winter our girls will be bread and we will be selling Kune Kune piglets. If you are thinking of adding a pig or two to your homestead I would highly recommend this breed.
Have a wonderful Sunday and God bless.
