Betty's writing is inspired by her five adult children and spans genres from songwriting and drama to non-fiction and inspirational pieces. You might recognize her creative spirit—she once recorded a CD singing with her two younger sisters as the group Designer Genes!
Along with her husband, Martin, Betty has journeyed through various callings, including farming, children's ministry, church planting, and camp management. Their retirement saw them move into an old convent that served as a unique backdrop for fostering teens and hosting international renters.
Now, as they embrace a new season back in Martin's hometown, Betty is focusing on reconnections, new friendships, and, most importantly, her writing!
Get ready to be inspired by her unique perspective in Born to Climb.

Body and Mind Acres is a small mixed farm on the edge of the Last Mountain Hills. We keep bees, raise pigs and chickens, and tend to an orchard. We are excited to be bringing some of our artisan jellies and spreads, our delicious honeys and sausages, and maybe a few other good things too. We look forward to seeing you there.

We invite you to join us for our Annual Christmas Open House! Mark your calendar for November 14th & 15th, and come enjoy cider and snacks, visiting, and shopping.

It's been a very blessed and full Fall, and we've been filling our shelves with pottery in preparation for the approaching busy shopping season. We've been making some special seasonal pieces which will be ready in time for the open house... but we're not giving away the details just yet, so stay tuned for our next email in the coming weeks!

The talented vendors joining us in our home are: EB Glass Studio (original stained glass art, including Christmas ornaments); Boho Sourdough (delicious baked goods); 2Beecreative (lovely, unique jewelry and more); Body And Mind Acres - Health Conscious Farm Products.

Feel free to invite friends and family. We look forward to visiting with you and kicking off the Christmas season that weekend!
