Béchamel is one of those foundational sauces that elevates everything it touches, you may recognize it from our house-made moussaka, available and ready-to-eat, available, and made fresh daily.
All you need is:
Butter
Flour
Milk (warm, ideally)
Salt, nutmeg, white pepper (optional)
Melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk while stirring until smooth and thickened. Season to taste. That’s it.
