Over the last while, we have been doing some reflecting on the years we’ve spent at Charles St. West, Kitchener, ON. We’ve been remembering the people who we love to call regulars, the community that learned to lean on us in difficult times, and everything that has made our little corner of Kitchener a little brighter. This space has meant so much to us, and to many of you.
With that in mind, we want to share some difficult news. With a heavy heart, we announce that our Kitchener location will close on September 13th, 2026. For the past year, we have worked diligently to ensure the longevity of both stores. Unfortunately, due to rising costs, we have realized it is no longer financially possible to continue operating in Kitchener.
We’d like to take a moment to honour the incredible staff who have kept our Kitchener location running with so much heart. They’ve made the little shop into more than just a little shop, and their kindness and hard work will reverberate in the community long after we close our doors. Thank you to Mal, Anya, Remy, and Spence.
While this chapter is ending, Coven as a whole isn’t going anywhere. Our Hamilton store is open, and we are already building toward what comes next.
