The Ja 3 was one of Nike’s most popular hoop shoes, so the Ja 4 had a lot to live up to — I had to test the new specs for myself.

✅ Improved traction — hard bite on every cut and hard stop, clean courts or dusty
✅ Improved lockdown/support — lateral containment holds up on hard stops
⚠️ Painful break-in period — support cage digs into the side of your foot
⚠️ Cushion swapped from ZoomX to Cushlon 3.0 — more stable, less bounce

True to size, unless you’ve got a wide foot — then size up.

Upgrade or downgrade? Depends what you value more: stability or bounce.

Only $119 and it performs like this?!? 👀👀👀

The DLo 1 was one of the most underrated shoes of 2025 — but the narrow fit and weak cushion held it back for me. So when the DLo 2 dropped, I had to see if Way of Wade actually fixed it.

✅ Traction — barely picks up dust, performs across every court condition
✅ Lockdown & support — locked in on every move, zero hesitation
✅ Fit — not nearly as narrow, true to size

⚠️ Cushion improved but still not top tier — wanted more responsiveness in the forefoot
⚠️ Materials are nothing premium — textile knit, synthetic leather, TPU — but still lightweight and comfortable
