Well we completely underestimated the amount of food you guys would go through ahaha
We sold out of all in-house made pizzas, pierogies, pickled eggs, mini shepherds pies, pot pies, lamb chops, pasture raised chickens and more!
The freezers may be close to empty right now but we going to start preparing more meals and snacks after this weekend.
There is still lots of fresh pasture raised pork left (low on sausage) and some ground and stewing lamb. Local beef coming soon! And more lamb coming soon!

Let us know what you would like to see in store! We are open tomorrow 12 to 8PM with Perk & Petal making specialty coffee again!

-Lavender Earl Grey cookies (last pack!)
-Fresh milled rye - pumpernickel bread made old school style with cocoa powder, molasses and caraway seeds. Very strong flavour.
-Mini strawberry shortcakes

Hi everyone! Yesterday was an incredible opening day and I can't say enough about how grateful we are to have the support of the town of Hardisty and surrounding communities.
It took a long time to get here and a lot of late nights but I would just like to give a heartful thank you to a few people.
- Carl and Marion Macdonald for being our go to people for all of our 'the farm is in chaos what do we do' questions and SOOO much more
- Penny Flemming across the street at the Laundry Service for being there to listen to every small idea and problem that I needed hashed out
- Jamie Hendricks for volunteering her expertise in quite frankly everything and painting the most beautiful door any shop could want
-Jared Fischer at Art Encompassed for hand painting the store sign and encompassing our vision into one outstanding piece

There are many more people who were involved behind the scenes and just know you have our most heartfelt thanks and gratitude.

Thank you all for an amazing open day, you really cleared out the shelves so I will wrap this up and get back in the kitchen :)

It's true! Homesteaders will be collaborating with the fantastic Perk & Petal! Now you can do your grocery and knick knack shopping with a speciality coffee in hand :) See you all soon!

I’m so excited to announce that Perk & Petal is teaming up with Homesteaders for pop-up days!

One of my favourite things about small towns is watching people make room for each other. Homesteaders has been so welcoming, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring coffee, community and small business together.

We are in the process of stocking shelves and creating products for opening date but in the meantime we would like to start building up the info board. We are still accepting vendors at this time so feel free to reach out if you are interested in consigning. Lots of great products being dropped off so far from leather work items, hand sewn pieces, poultry and more!

Government says no, but we won't let that get us down. Where there is a will there is a way. So for now to bridge the gap between consumers and small egg producers, we will have an info board in store. I'll update it as needed, all communication/pickup will be between the producer and the customer.....you can even meet at the store and do a little shopping while you're here ;) happy laying!
