Gitanmaax Market will be closed on Monday, September 7, in recognition of Labour Day.

Labour Day is a time to recognize the contributions workers make every day and to remember the efforts that helped establish fair wages, safer workplaces and better working conditions.

We would like to thank our Gitanmaax Market team and all the hardworking people throughout our community for everything they do.

We will be back to our regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.

🔨🎓 Wishing Teagan All the Best! 🎓🔧

Today was Teagan’s last day at the Gitanmaax Market!

Teagan has been a great member of our Produce Department, and he also took on the added responsibility of serving as Secretary for our Health & Safety Committee. We really appreciate the work, effort and responsibility he brought to both roles during his time with us.

Now Teagan is heading to TRU in Kamloops, where he’ll be starting his journey toward becoming a plumber! 🔧🛠️ It’s an exciting next step — a new city, a new school and the beginning of a career in the skilled trades.

We’re always happy to see our young employees move on to new opportunities and take the next step toward building their futures.

Thank you, Teagan, for everything you contributed to the Gitanmaax Market. We’ll miss having you around the store and on our Health & Safety Committee, but we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes you!

Today is Sophie’s last day at the Gitanmaax Market! 🥹❤️

Sophie has been a wonderful part of our team as a cashier, and while we’re sad to see her go, we’re also so excited for everything that lies ahead for her. It’s always bittersweet saying goodbye to one of our own, especially when they’re leaving to pursue such an exciting new chapter.

Sophie will soon be heading to Vancouver to attend UBC! 🎓✨ We’re incredibly proud of her for taking this next big step and wish her nothing but success as she begins university life, meets new people, and makes many new memories along the way.

Thank you, Sophie, for all your hard work and for being part of the Gitanmaax Market team. You’ll be missed around here!
