This is the week when so much farm fresh produce is available and much from our farm.
Today we pickup our first picking of sweet corn from the farm.
Ontario garlic has started, sweet cherries, pickling cucumbers and it’s the last week for asparagus.
We are also enjoying green and yellow beans, snow and snap peas. Radishes and such crispy kale , chard and all kinds of lettuce.
We celebrate the start of blueberries and raspberries and are still enjoying the sweetness of strawberries.

One of our all-time favourite proteins.
Chicken Thunderbolts
-with our dipping sauce

we marinate the chicken and spices and buttermilk
It is lightly deep fried with a gluten-free flower.
Then we bake them in the oven to finish off their crispiness .
Our Thunderbolt Sauce has a mild sweetness, and lots of flavour and no heat.

Beautiful flower day at the market. We picked up some gorgeous outdoor planters and hanging baskets plus some seasonal very pretty cut flowers. The peonies cuts are something I look forward to getting each year.
But we also got a few peonies plant bushes in super cool colours if you are interested and citronella hanging baskets plus they smell amazing.
