💜 One More Weekend in the Flower Field 💜

We’re opening the flower field for You-Pick Flowers for one more beautiful September weekend! 🌸

Friday, September 11 – Sunday, September 13
⏰ 11 AM–4 PM

The field is still full of colour, with lots of zinnias, celosia, gomphrena and dahlias waiting to be picked. 💜

We’ll play it by ear after this weekend and see what Mother Nature gives us. Behind the scenes, we’re already starting to take down some of our spring and early-summer flowers and prepare those beds for next year — the seasons are definitely beginning to shift around the farm.

Inside the shop, you’ll also find lots of dried flowers for creating something of your own, along with all of our usual farm-made lavender products.

And fall workshop season is coming! 🌿 We have our Dried Flower String Workshop and Dried Lavender Wreath Workshop coming up. Visit our website for dates, details and registration.

What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday — wander the field, slow down for a little while, and pick your own bouquet to take home.

September at the farm 💜

The seasons are beginning to shift, but there is still lots happening at Little Brown Farm.

🌸 You-Pick Flowers are still available — and we’ll continue for as long as the flowers are beautiful. There’s no set end date; as always, Mother Nature gets the final say.

Using dried flowers grown right here at Little Brown Farm, you’ll choose your own flowers, colours and combinations to create 6 completely unique dried flower strings.

Hang them from a mantel, mirror, window or picture frame, tuck them into little spaces around your home — or keep a few and gift a few. 💜

No two will be exactly alike, and that’s part of the fun.

Time flies when you’re having fun. 💜

Today, Brian and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage — a pretty incredible milestone when we look back at everything those 20 years have held.

We’ve grown and changed so much since the day we met, but one thing has always remained the same: we’ve done it together.

Raising our boys. Countless hockey tournaments. Building a home, a life, a farm and a community together.

And the farm itself has grown right alongside us. What started with vegetable farming became a CSA program, then a vegetable stand, then a flower stand, then a lavender farm… and now, a lavender and flower farm.

There have been a lot of versions of Little Brown Farm — and a lot of versions of us along the way.

Through all of it, we’ve always loved the process of creating something together. Dreaming something up, figuring it out as we go, changing direction when we need to, and seeing where the next idea takes us.

Who knows what the next 20 years will look like or where they’ll take us. But I know there will be plenty more creating, growing and probably a few unexpected pivots along the way. And I’m excited for all of it.

20 years married, and so many years of life in between.

Cheers to many more years of growing and creating together. 💜

And thank you to all of you who have been here to witness even a little piece of our story. It means more than you know.🙏

We’re heading into the last two weekends of August, and the flower fields are still looking beautiful!

Lavender season may be over, but there is still so much to pick. 🌻 Sunflowers are still available to add to your bouquet, along with dahlias, zinnias and plenty of other late-summer favourites.

And right now, I’m especially focused on all the flowers that dry beautifully. If you love the idea of taking your bouquet home and enjoying it well beyond summer, this is such a wonderful time to pick. 💜
