Both red (tieton) and yellow ( early red robin)(limited and will sell out today!) are available and in store at 3:30 pm today June 5th!!!

Have you ever wondered how we irrigate crops under plastic mulch? Well… wonder no more 🌱💧

Under the plastic is drip tape with tiny holes every 6 inches to ensure even water coverage for the plants. In this video, we’re showing how we connect it all to our main irrigation line!

Plastic mulch serves a few different purposes:
• helps retain moisture from the drip irrigation — very little evaporates in the Okanagan heat ☀️
• gives us a buffer against weeds (every farmer’s worst enemy 😅)
• warms the soil for earlier crops and better growth from heat-loving plants 🌶️🍉🍅

Also did you know we sell our own beef?!? Raised minutes away from the fruitstand on a beautiful pasture! They are grass fed grass finished for the most nutrient rich meal! You should know what goes into your food! And I’m trying my best to show you!

The temperature swings over the last few years seem like they are getting worse and worse with more unpredictable weather. Adaptation is the key to success and staying one step ahead seems to be harder and harder but we are doing our best! The babies are tucked in under the frost cloth and that’s about all we can do for them now!
We stay positive and keep fighting! Because what else!!!!💪

We’ve been having some LONG days on the farm trying to get all of the vegetables planted! Saved this for my last job of the day so I had something to look forward to 🙈 Weeding the garlic patch has never been this fun!
The Alis Chalmers G tractor is a beauty with the finger weeder attachment!
