I was cutting some ribeyes this morning and was reflecting on how long I have worked in the meat industry.
And I came to realize that sometime during this month in 1986 is when I got my first job on the clean up crew in a big meat plant. (Now you know the secret to why our shop is so clean).
For the 8 hour shift I would clean all the equipment, tubs and floor, it was a federal meat plant so you had to be perfect.
Couple years after that I moved into the shipping department for a couple years, then the sausage kitchen.
In 1993 I moved to Kelowna and worked at another plant breaking beef and pigs.
2 years after that, started my own shop in 1994, yeah, Brothers Meats has been around for over 30 years.
So when you wonder why our stuff is so good, it’s because I have a tiny bit of experience, lol.
Anyhow, I was just reminiscing and thinking, crap that went by quick.
So if you haven’t tried our shop, come in and check out what 40 years of experience brings, from a 3rd generation meat shop owner.
Here is a couple pics from the Brothers Meats Shop in Edmonton before we moved out to Kingston in 2008. Yeah we laid the shop out exactly the same, but how about that 70’s orange floor tile, lol. Wish I took more pictures, but I like to live in the moment not behind my camera.
