👋 One of spring’s most unique seasonal vegetables has arrived in our market for a limited time!

If you’ve never tried fiddleheads before, they’re the tightly curled young shoots of the ostrich fern, harvested fresh in the early spring before they unfurl. Their name comes from their resemblance to the scroll of a violin, also called a fiddle!

Flavour-wise, fiddleheads are often described as a mix between asparagus, green beans, and spinach, with a fresh, earthy taste that pairs beautifully with butter, garlic, lemon, and fresh-grown herbs.

A few important cooking tips:
🌱 Always rinse them well and trim the ends
🌱 Boil or steam first before sautéing
🌱Then finish them in a pan with butter, garlic, olive oil, or even alongside steak or salmon
