☀️ It's a perfect day for the Ladysmith Farmers Market! ☀️

Sunshine, fresh local food, cool treats, and a wonderful community atmosphere — what more could you ask for?

Join us today at the Ladysmith Farmers Market from 3 – 7 pm and enjoy a beautiful summer-like afternoon. Stroll through the market, visit with friends and neighbours, discover something new, and support the amazing local farmers, food producers, artisans, and small businesses that make our market so special. 🌻

🥕 Be sure to stop by Root Bound Farm and Holy Stick Farm to see what's coming into season. Holy Stick Farm will also have their popular farm-fresh eggs available.

With temperatures expected to climb, don't forget your sunscreen! Or stop by and see Linda at The Hat Emporium to find the perfect hat for staying cool and stylish all summer long.

Swing by for a late lunch or dinner - The Eagles will be grilling their famous hot dogs, and Fouad from Marini's Mediterranean Food Truck will be serving up his always-popular Mediterranean favourites.

Looking for a refreshing treat? Cool down with a fresh strawberry 🍓 lemonade from The Drip, or a shaved ice or ice cream float from Ohana 🍧 – both the perfect way to beat the heat!

Don't forget you can check out the boat and trailer being raffled by the Forrest Field Enhancement Society. See it in person and grab your tickets for a chance to win big while supporting a great local project.

🎶 With Brian Hicks entertaining – and great vendors, great food, great people, and gorgeous weather — it's shaping up to be another fantastic market day!

Ever wonder where the proceeds from the Ladysmith Farmers Market booth fees go and the FOE Eagles Hot Dog sales?

Ever wonder about the good work the volunteers at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ladysmith do throughout the year?

The numbers tell an incredible story.

Over the past year, the Eagles have donated more than $50,600 to local charities, youth programs, schools, health organizations, and community initiatives. Every dollar represents volunteer hours, fundraising efforts, and a commitment to making our community stronger.

Some of the highlights include:
• Ladysmith Food Bank – $6,733
• LSS Hunger Bites – $6,733
• VI Children's Health Foundation – $3,839
• Ladysmith Dragon Boat Society – $3,843
• Ladysmith Prom 2026 – $3,375
• Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation – $3,000
• Canadian Cancer Society – $2,887
• Honour House – $2,901
• Wounded Warriors Canada – $2,366
• Cops for Cancer – $1,965

The Eagles also supported numerous local organizations, including:
• Ladysmith-Chemainus Orcas Swim Club
• Ladysmith Chargers U17B Fastpitch
• LSS Girls Basketball
• Mid Isle Soccer Club
• Cowichan Valley U18
• Rainbow Canoe Club
• Ladysmith Sportsmen's Club
• Cowichan District Hospital Foundation
• Chemainus Schools Foundation
• Vancouver Island Nursing Grad
• Stz'uminus Education Society Graduation Program
• Ladysmith Days Skateboard Demonstration

THIS IS WHAT COMMUNITY LOOKS LIKE.

When you support organizations like the Eagles and attend community events such as the Ladysmith Farmers Market, you're helping create far more than a place to shop. You're supporting local vendors, local musicians, local food producers, youth programs, charitable organizations, and the countless volunteers who work behind the scenes to make Ladysmith such a special place.

The Ladysmith Farmers Market brings people together. Friendships are formed, local businesses grow, community groups connect with residents, and organizations like the Eagles continue to make a meaningful difference through their generosity and volunteer spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladysmith for the tremendous impact you have on our community. Your dedication shows that when people come together, great things happen. Interested in becoming a member, ask at the Hot Dog stand.

Together, we're building a stronger, more connected Ladysmith. ❤️
