When we talk about Canadian farming we often think about vegetables, meat and dairy. There are over 2,000 flower growers in Canada producing over 100 varieties of flowers from asters to zinnias.
Gorgeous blooms might not feed the body but they feed the soul and are an important part of our Canadian agriculture story. At The Market at Western Fair District we are celebrating the local growers and retailers who bring us colour, fragrance and joy. Shop local and ask our flower vendors about the local farmers who supply their shops with Canadian booms.
Canadian Flowers Week runs from August 17th - 23rd.
