To my older yet smaller sister, 🤍🦋 إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
•Our wedding was two weeks apart,”23” 👯♀️ 😇
I still don’t know if I’ve truly accepted that you’re gone. It still feels like a dream. You were not always the easiest to understand, but your love for us was so easy for us,was easily felt.
You were such a soft, peaceful & easygoing soul. A beautiful mother who only wanted to care for her child, a loving sister, a real friend, and someone who was always there for the people she loved. You never wanted trouble with anyone, you wanted everyone around you to be okay.
If your death has taught me anything, it is that we truly have no control over this life. We make plans, we make promises, we think we have tomorrow—but Allah decides who stays, who leaves, when they leave, and how. All power belongs to Him.
Just a few months ago, we were together celebrating Eid and your son’s birthday in my sitting room. We went to the market together, bought gifts for the children, laughed and made memories. You wanted so badly for family to be together that day. Little did we know it would become one of our last memories together.
The last time I saw you was on Eid. The last time we spoke personally, I was entering a train and told you I would call you back. I never knew that would be our last conversation.
I am grateful that I got to cross paths with you. Grateful for every memory, every laugh, every little moment. And most of all, thank you for blessing us with your beautiful son. I promise we will love him, cherish him and always remind him of the beautiful mother he had.
This year gave me one of my biggest prayers, but it also gave me pain I could never have imagined. Losing Mama and then losing you only weeks apart is something I never thought I would have to experience.
I am still here. Still breathing. Still eating, sleeping and living—but there is a hole in my heart now, and I know I will carry this pain for the rest of my life.
May Allah forgive your shortcomings, have endless mercy on your soul and grant you Jannatul Firdaus. May He protect your son, guide him, and make him someone you would be proud of.
I love you, my sister. I will miss you forever
