One of my favourite markets is right here in . 🤎

Over the years, I’ve met so many beautiful humans from all walks of life, and this weekend is extra special because my mom, dad, kids and husband are all here joining in the festivities. 🥰

One of the main reasons we got into alpacas was because I was inspired by Ross Hinter. Together, we were teaching trapping camp for kids, where we taught them some of the skills needed to survive and thrive in the bush.

One thing we talked about was how important it is to regulate your body temperature — and how natural fibres like wool help keep you warm.

My own kids struggled with wool because of the itchiness and sensory issues. And that’s where our alpaca journey began. (With an eye roll or two from my husband ) 😂

Alpaca fibre is incredibly soft, naturally moisture-wicking, and wonderfully warm — without that scratchy feeling that can make traditional wool difficult for some people to wear.

Years later, here we are. ❤️

Still helping people get outside. Still teaching kids to connect with the natural world. Still working with our hands and the animals that provide us with these incredible fibres.

There’s something magical about getting away from the noise, stepping into nature, and remembering what really matters.

The quieter it gets, the stronger the connection becomes. 🌲🦙🤎

How cool is this? 🤎

A beautiful baby was born yesterday morning, and once again I’m reminded just how incredible life is.

There’s something truly magical about watching new life arrive every summer. To witness these little creatures being born, grow, and become part of our farm is an honour and, to me, a gift from God. 🦙

I’ve worn many hats in my careers through my life and those careers have taken me to some incredible places around the world. But honestly… other than being a mum this is by far the one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.

I get to raise these amazing animals, shear their fiber, wash it, prepare it, spin it into yarn, and eventually turn it into beautiful garments that can be worn and loved for years.

We live in a world surrounded by fast fashion and synthetic materials. I want to go back to something slower. Something natural. Something that connects us to the land, the animals, and the hands that made it.

The garments we create aren’t meant to be worn for a season and thrown away. They’re made to last a lifetime. Natural fibers can keep you warm even when damp, breathe with your body, and offer something very different from clothing made primarily from plastic-based synthetics.

Maybe it’s time we shift our focus.

Less disposable.
More intentional.
Less fast.
More lasting.
Less plastic.
More nature.

Let’s start choosing the things that matter. 🌿🤎

From a baby born yesterday morning… to a garment that may one day be passed down to another generation.

That’s the kind of circle I want to be part of.

🐝 Gratitude for these little flying pollinators.

Without the honey bee, our world would look very different. These tiny creatures quietly carry so much of the life around us.

A worker bee may live only 4–6 weeks in the busy summer months, yet in that short life she gives everything to her hive—flying from flower to flower, carrying pollen, gathering nectar, feeding her sisters, and helping create the sweet gift of honey.

A hive is a beautiful reminder that we were never meant to do everything alone.

Thousands of tiny lives, each with a purpose, each doing their part, working together toward something bigger than themselves.

There is something almost sacred about standing beside a hive and listening to that hum. Watching them come and go, covered in golden dust, returning home with the treasures of the flowers.

The magic of nature isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s a quiet hum in the garden, wings moving through the morning air, and a whole world working together right before your eyes. 🌿🐝🍯

The wonders of nature… 🌅🌲

Watching the sunrise through the trees.
The beauty of creating with our hands.
The recharging of an early morning dip that cleanses the soul.
The gentle humming of my youngest as he trolls the water’s edge.

These are the moments I live for. ❤️

The simple ones. The wild ones. The ones that remind us how little we truly need to feel full.

This is where my soul feels most at home.

Huge thank you to Colleen and Dale Nature Alive Adventures for hosting 🌿💚

We had such an incredible time learning from the knowledge holders and listening to the wisdom of those who carry and share ancestral knowledge. We made new friends, created friendship bracelets, shared some fun spindle activities, and—hopefully—planted a few little seeds of growth along the way. 🌱

Every year, we look forward to this beautiful event. The people who gather here are some of the most genuine, wholehearted humans you could ever meet. We share space, stories, skills, laughter and knowledge, giving ourselves permission to learn, grow and see the world through one another’s eyes.

Thank you to everyone who shared space with us this weekend. Our hearts are completely full. ❤️

Until next year… keep growing, keep learning, and keep sharing your light. 🌿✨

This morning we went fishing 🎣❤️ School days are just around the corner, and soon the rat race begins again. I’m soaking up every precious minute of this time with my babes.

Fortunately, my son doesn’t sit at a desk well. He’s an outdoors kid—the wild fuels his soul. Around lots of people, he can become a different human… unregulated and overwhelmed. But out in nature, something shifts. He settles. He connects. He becomes one with his surroundings. 🌲🎣💙

So for now, I’ll soak up these moments, watch him come alive in the places where he feels most himself, and hold onto this precious season for as long as I can.

I’m a small operation. ❤️
Small protects the things that matter most — the love, the passion, the intention, and the hands behind every little piece.

Everything I create is made with a big effort and an even bigger heart. There’s something special about knowing the story behind what you’re buying, who made it, and how much love went into it.

When things get bigger, sometimes you lose that sense of love and passion… and it can become more about production than purpose.

I don’t ever want to lose the purpose.
I want to stay small enough to care deeply.
Small enough to create with intention.
Small enough to know the story.
Small enough that every piece still carries a little bit of my heart. ❤️

Because sometimes small isn’t less. Small is what makes it special.
