Fruit explosion! We got NS cherries, blueberries, AND strawberries for the weekend, and our own homegrown raspberries as well.

⚠️Reminder that today is the last day for the raspberry u-pick before we evaluate and try to guess how much longer we can keep it open. Stop by the market to weigh your containers and we can direct you where to pick.

Fresh baked sourdough breads, brown breads (with and without raisins), and white bread just came out this morning (not all pictured).
Back by popular demand is our mini chocolate raspberry buttercream layer cakes! The large carrot cakes have also been restocked and we have our usual selection of treats available.

Open 9am-6pm today, and 10am-6pm Sunday-Friday

What's new this weekend? Well, we now have everything needed for hodge-podge and the kitchen has been on a raspberry kick!

They've made a raspberry dark chocolate focaccia bread and a dark chocolate and raspberry coffee cake! The coffee cake is nice 'n moist with a bit of sweetness, while the focaccia has the sweetness from just the berries, dark chocolate chips, and a dusting of icing sugar (no added sugar to the dough).

As for hodge-podge: we have new potatoes, both yellow & green beans, onions, and local peas at the market to make this special summer treat. 🤤

-Open daily until 10am-6pm (9am-6pm on Saturdays)

The picking is still going well, but after Saturday we will be re-evaluating the season: hopefully we will be able to keep the u-pick open for another week or two, but we will know more after the 25th.

Sweet treats available with a special highlight on our chocolate ones! 👩‍🍳
This weekend we have a mini chocolate layer cake with RASPBERRY buttercream frosting! Made with real raspberries from our patch, the frosting has a wonderful raspberry flavour that is to die for. 🥹
We also have our triple chocolate scones and a limited amount of chocolate sourdough loaves, frosted fudge brownies and double chocolate brownies, double chocolate cookies, and chocolate chip cookies.
*We know white chocolate isn't 'real' chocolate, but we do have a beautiful raspberry white chocolate loaf that is sweet, but not TOO sweet. We've been told it is awesome with a scoop of vanilla icecream or whipping cream.

❗️ To REALLY sweeten the weekend, our annuals are now 50% off (including baskets) and perennials are 25% off ❗️

Fresh local green beans and Quebec sweet corn are now on our market shelves! 🌽
We are digging up new potatoes, pulling fresh onions, picking raspberries, and cutting lettuce for the weekend too. Our bakery is a flurry of activity as we prepare for another Saturday breakfast & market just up the road from us (put on by the Douglas Harbour Community Hall and Bertie's Cafe respectively) and we hope to see you here! ❤️

Garden update! 🌱☀️

We are currently getting fresh (uncured) onions, raspberries, cherry tomatoes (assorted), early girl tomatoes, new potatoes, beets & their greens, rhubarb (coming to end of season) and some lettuces from our garden.

Locally, we are able to source pickling cukes (ours are coming though!), carrots, strawberries, dulse (Grand Manan), and a little bit more until ours come in full-swing 😊

Our raspberry U-Pick will be open this Thursday, July 16th! 🥳

The berries are just hanging off the canes and are looking really good (and tasting much better than shipped berries), so come on down with the family and make a day of it!
*We also have raspberries available in the market for those unable to pick or who are short on time

Call ahead to check in to make sure it isn't closed due to weather or being picked out. You can reach us at (506)470-3887 or message our page directly.

UPDATE: This year our u-pick is priced at $4.50/lb, please stop in and get your containers weighed so that we can subtract the weight from the total. Thank you ☺️
