September is here, and that means we have just four more weekends at the farm shop and bistro before we close for the season.

Here’s a look at what’s happening over the next few weeks:

Friday, September 4 | 12–8pm
Starting at 5pm - our final live music evening of the season with Singer Songwriter Trent Yule.

Saturday, September 5 | 12–8pm
Come spend the day at the farm—shop, bistro, cheese, evening fire pits and all the good things of late summer.

Friday & Saturday, September 11 & 12 | 12–8pm
Regular hours both days.

Friday, September 18 | 12–8pm
One more Friday to enjoy the farm before our final weekend.

Saturday, September 19 | 12–3pm
CLOSING EARLY at 3pm for our evening's ticketed event.

This weekend we’re harvesting crab apples, and we could use some help.

For our Pails for Pizza event, you can register to pick two 20 L pails of crab apples for the farm. Once you’ve filled both pails, we’ll reward you with a Back Forty farm-to-table pizza.

Join us on Saturday, September 19th for a one-night-only Culinary collaboration with Charlotte Langley celebrating the very best of the season.

Spend the evening wandering the farm with a welcome cocktail or mocktail, enjoying a seasonal chef-curated dining experience inspired by Back Forty's handcrafted sheep's milk cheeses, pastured-raised meats, and garden harvest, thoughtfully paired with Charlotte's signature coastal influence.

As the sun sets, gather around the wood-fired oven and fire pits, enjoy the sounds of a live vinyl DJ, and experience an evening designed to celebrate exceptional food, great company, and the beauty of the season.

What a weekend!
Thank you to our incredible staff, vendors, volunteers, and everyone who came out to make this year's Curds & Cooks such a memorable event. Your support and enthusiasm are what make this festival so special, and we're so grateful to everyone who was part of it.

We'll be back to our regular menu and hours this weekend, Friday and Saturday, 12:00-8:00pm

Join us this Friday evening for live music from singer-songwriter Trent Yule, starting at 5pm, along with our wood-fired pizza, small plates, artisan cheese, and a relaxing evening on the farm.

Beer-Battered Deep-Fried Cheese Curds are back this Saturday for Curds & Cooks!

Here's what else you have to look forward to:

•Our full selection of sheep's milk cheeses and guided tastings throughout the afternoon
• Craft beverages from some of Ontario's finest producers, including Revel C***r, Slake Brewing , Kin Vineyards and Artizen Beverage Co.
•Delicious food from local chefs and vendors
•Live music all afternoon from Aurora's Reef and Roots Movement Band
•A chance to meet the makers behind your favourite local products.
•Relax on the farm for the day and see the animals in the pasture, including the newborn Highland calves.

A few things to know before you arrive:

•Admission is free, all are welcome.
•The event is rain or shine
•Dogs are welcome but must remain on leash at all times and kindly leave if they are barking persistently.
•Please bring cash as some vendors may not take cards with spotty cell service on the lawn.
• No outside food or beverages permitted.

We will have altered hours and menu this Saturday for the event, serving festival fare made with our cheeses, garden produce, and farm-raised meats from 12-6pm.

We will be open this Friday with a slim version of our regular menu, open our regular hours of 12-8pm (kitchen closes at 7:30).

Father’s Day weekend calls for pizza & pints!

Join us Friday & Saturday from 3–6pm for half-price pints featuring Cold Bear’s Ottawa Valley L***r and Perth Brewery’s IPYAY! 0% IPA.

Pair them with our sourdough pizzas, made with our own sheep’s milk cheeses and seasonal ingredients, and settle in for a relaxed afternoon at the farm.

We’re so excited to welcome you back! Back Forty’s Shop & Bistro opens for the season on May 29th.

Join us every Friday and Saturday from 12–8pm (new extended hours) right through the fall. We’ll be serving up our farm-to-table menu, pouring some of the best Ontario craft beverages, and stocking the shop with our sheep’s milk cheeses alongside a curated selection of local provisions.
