As a farmer you tend to try to fix or do things on your own but this task needed a little more than I was willing to take on - Huge HIT for WashForce Exterior Cleaning - a young owner/man (Jakob) who is not afraid of hard work and is attentive to detail! I entertained the idea of cleaning my gutters and gutter faces myself but thought it best to hire somebody this time. So pleased! Very reasonable price for the amount of work and time spent doing the work, I actually told him he should charge more, lol! Before and after photos, wow. As a local business I try our best to support local and thought I would share in case any of our clients and followers are also in need of this service. Before and after!

Happening Today! (Wednesday) Soft Launch Opening. We will be open from 3pm - 6pm every Wednesday for the upcoming season. Today we will have on hand: eggs, pork and chicken cuts, sausages, carrots, celery, lovage, spearmint, lemon balm, rhubarb and a limited quantity of asparagus and more!

Every Saturday morning, Caleb pops into our kiosk at the Dieppe Market like clockwork. He makes a beeline for his favourite treasure — the cow broom — and immediately gets to “work.” Might have to ‘downgrade’ that broom for a better fit :-)

Fresh Herbs at the Marché de Dieppe Market Tomorrow among other items!

I’ll have a beautiful spread of rhubarb, lovage, thyme, cilantro, chives, mints, and sage — all freshly harvested and full of flavour. Some items are very limited so come early!

🍃 Lovage — A European favourite and the traditional choice instead of celery. It has a richer, cleaner, more aromatic flavour, so cooks across Europe use it in soups, broths, potatoes, chicken dishes, and salads. You can use the leaves & stems. If you want to cook like the old‑world kitchens, lovage is the star of the table tomorrow!

🌱 Spearmint — Sweet, cooling, and refreshing. Perfect for iced tea, mojitos, fruit salads, tabbouleh, and desserts.

🍋 Lemon Balm — Soft lemon aroma with a calming touch. Lovely in teas, cocktails, salads, syrups, and baked goods.

🍀 Thyme — Earthy, savoury, and perfect for roasted veggies, chicken, stews, and marinades. A tiny sprig goes a long way.

🌱 Cilantro — Fresh, citrusy, and bright. Ideal for tacos, curries, salads, and spring rolls.

🌿 Chives — Mild onion flavour that lifts everything: eggs, potatoes, dips, salads, and fish.

🌾 Sage — Warm and aromatic. Amazing with roasted meats, butter sauces, stuffing, and fall-style dishes — even in tea.

❤️ Rhubarb — Tart, vibrant, and perfect for pies, crisps, jams, chutneys, and cocktails.

Part-Time Farm Assistant – Certified Urban Organic Farm

We are a certified urban organic farm seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes initiative, and values sustainable agriculture.

Key Requirements:

* Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written)
* Must have a reliable method of transportation to and from the farm
* Ability to work independently and manage time and tasks efficiently
* Comfortable working with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity
* Available for weekend shifts and occasional evening work

What We’re Looking For:

* A self-starter who takes pride in their work
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Training will be provided; however, we are looking for someone who is adaptable and able to learn new tasks quickly and confidently.

Responsibilities May Include:

* Planting, harvesting, and general crop care
* Washing, sorting, and preparing produce
* Assisting with market or customer-facing activities
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
